I agree with most all of the recommendations in this book except doing all levels of tactics repeatedly I only suggest doing easy problems in "The 7 Circles".
Older version is in descriptive notation. Amateur's are given positions and asked what they would play and why. This subject is a must for any serious player. Don't worry about the arcane definitions!
