Do not give the Yeerk morphing powers.
Book, what the FUCK. Maybe I missed something. Mind-reading time! The Yeerk finally has a name, hallelujah. But her brother Estril stayed in a Hork-Bajir body, and then Cassie bit his throat out and, well, we all know how the rest of this story has gone. Which is in fact still hilarious. Yeerks: they like toilet humor, just like us! Which is…not great.
But then they look down and see things: a search party sent out by the Yeerks to look for Karen and Aftran, and a pack of Animorphs in flight, headed their way to look for Cassie and Aftran. What to do? One human, one Yeerk, sharing a brain, in the worst buddy comedy of all time. Aftran comes in for a landing near Karen.
Actual Karen: the most relatable character in this entire book. Cassie thinks this sounds like a trap because, well, it sounds like a damn trap. Choose your country's store to see books available for purchase. See if you have enough points for this item. Sign in. Cassie's had it.
After the last mission, she realizes she's getting tired of missions. Tired of battles.
Tired of being an Animorph. She decides that she just can't do it anymore. So she quits. But the war for her planet isn't so easy to quit. It seems a human-Controller named Karen followed Cassie after the last run-in with the Yeerks, and she knows Cassie has the ability to morph. If she exposes Cassie, it's all over. No more Cassie. No more Animorphs. No more planet Earth.
